Some of my favorite work from my sketchbooks.
I share my sketchbooks periodically on my blog, go ChEcK iT oUt.
One day, in a land not very far from this one, a girl woke up and saw the same old sad “husband” pillow that she saw every day. It was blue, lumpy, and (like most husbands), disappointing.
“No more!” she cried, and whipped up a Totoro cover pillow fit for a kawaii princess.
And then she lived happily ever after with her new husband, the spirit of the forest.
(And maybe the guardian of the dead spirits? I’ve read a lot of Totoro conspiracy theories…)
Materials: Grey Asiana Airlines complimentary blanket (on theme!); scrap grey fleece; scrap beige bedsheets; tiny bit of stuffing; pre-existing husband pilow

Getting hungry for a slice,
But don’t want to pay the price
by spending all your cheese and dough
or getting lumpy down below?
Just grab a crochet hook
Some yellow and red, now take a look:
This won’t make you less hungry
But it’s a treat for all to see.
